Unofficial YouTube App Pulled From Vision Pro

Christian Selig’s third-party YouTube app for Apple’s Vision Pro, called Juno, has been removed from the App Store after Google claimed it violated YouTube’s API and trademark policies.

Despite Selig’s adjustments to the app, including removing YouTube’s logo and adding “unofficial” to its title, Google maintained that it still breached their guidelines.

Juno allowed Vision Pro users to watch YouTube videos in immersive formats, but its removal leaves a gap for users wanting similar features on Apple’s headset.

Chromebooks Introduce A Dedicated AI Button

Google has launched new Chromebooks from Samsung and Lenovo, featuring a new “Quick Insert” button designed for immediate access to AI functions.

The button, debuting on the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Plus, offers tools like “Help me write” and AI-assisted content management. Other new AI features include “Help me read,” Live Translate, and Welcome Recap, which provides reminders and suggestions based on prior activities.

Tesla Lawsuit Over Autopilot Claims Dismissed

Tesla and CEO Elon Musk secured a legal victory after a federal judge dismissed a lawsuit accusing them of misleading shareholders about the safety of Tesla’s Autopilot and Full Self-Driving features.

The court ruled that Musk’s claims were largely “corporate puffery” or forward-looking statements rather than fraud.

While the case was dismissed, Tesla still faces ongoing investigations from the California attorney general’s office and the US Department of Justice regarding its self-driving technology.
