Amazon’s Prime Delivery Drones Fly Farther

Amazon’s drone delivery service, Prime Air, got FAA approval to fly packages beyond the pilot’s visual line of sight.

This allows them to expand delivery areas and potentially reach customers in 30 minutes.

The approval applies to their current MK27 drone (5-pound capacity) with collision avoidance tech in College Station, Texas , but they’re also developing a faster, all-weather MK30 drone for future use.
