Artists who were asked to test OpenAI’s Sora video model have leaked it onto Hugging Face in protest of what they claim amounts to unpaid work for the $150 billion company.

While OpenAI says participation was voluntary and offered perks like grants and events, the protesting group highlights the meager contest rewards and heavy restrictions placed on their work, emphasizing they’re not against AI art, but they do want fair treatment and proper compensation.

The leaked model has since been taken down, but video downloads can be found on twitter that showcase the impressive video generation abilities, creating hyper-realistic 10-second clips. OpenAI has yet to comment on the leak…
