ChatGPT Launches It’s Most Impressive Model Yet
OpenAI just launched GPT-4o, an improved version of GPT-4 — it’s faster and works better with text, images, and audio.
OpenAI CTO Mira Murati announced it’s free for all ChatGPT users, and paid users getting more capacity. Plus, developers can use the API at half the price and twice the speed of GPT-4 Turbo.
Of course, this release comes just ahead of Google I/O, where more AI products are expected.
GPT-4o Can Detect Vision, Language, & Emotion
In the launch video, one of the presenters asks GPT-4o for tips on helping stage fright, and ChatGPT suggests some breathing exercises to calm down.
The presenter, in response, starts breathing erratically back to ChatGPT. ChatGPT then cracks a joke and tells the presenter to take a chill pill.

ChatGPT Launches Mac Desktop App
OpenAI has launched a ChatGPT desktop app exclusively for macOS where users can ask questions about what’s on their screen by typing or speaking, with ChatGPT responding based on the visible content.
The app can be accessed using the Option + Space shortcut and allows for taking and discussing screenshots.
While initially available to ChatGPT Plus users, it will roll out to all users in the coming weeks, and a Windows version is planned for later this year.
OpenAI’s Custom GPT Store Now Free for All
OpenAI has opened its GPT Store to everyone, letting free users access millions of custom chatbots.
Previously available only to ChatGPT Plus subscribers, this store allows users to create and share their own chatbots.
