AI-Powered ‘Undressing’ Websites Being Sued

The San Francisco City Attorney’s office has filed a lawsuit against 16 of the most frequently visited AI-powered “undressing” websites that create nude deepfakes of women and children without their consent — collectively visited over 200 million times in the first half of 2024.

The lawsuit aims to take these sites offline and seeks civil penalties, accusing them of violating laws against revenge pornography, deepfake pornography, and child pornography.

X Offices Close In Brazil For Safety

X announced on Saturday that they would be closing operations in Brazil, accusing Brazilian Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes of issuing a “secret order” to arrest its legal representative if X does not comply with censorship orders.

The platform claims that despite closing its Brazilian office, its service will remain available to users in Brazil.

This comes after Justice de Moraes opened an investigation into X in April over the reactivation of accounts that were previously ordered to be blocked.

IKEA Employees Will Have A Drone Buddy

Ikea has upgraded its stock-counting drone system and plans to bring the AI-powered drones to its Perryville, Maryland, distribution center.

The drones will now fly 24/7 alongside human workers to count inventory and ensure items are in the correct location.

The drones, which are part of a fleet of over 250 operating across 73 warehouses in nine countries, are expected to reduce ergonomic strain on workers and allow them to focus on lighter and more engaging tasks.
