Telepathy Is Here & Improving 🧠
Using a wearable device connected to generative AI, Unbabel has created a system that can detect and interpret brain signals related to words. The technology, called Halo, uses an EMG system to measure muscle response and translate it into communication.
The system has the potential to revolutionize communicating for people with conditions, such as ALS, who have difficulty speaking.

Stephen Hawking was communicating at around two words per minute, and Halo is now at around 20 words per minute.
Vasco has stated that the goal is 60-80 words per minute, and “people talk at a maximum of 120 to 130 words per minute, so if you get to 150, you’re starting to get to superhuman capabilities.”
Autonomous Farming Robots 🚜
Solinftec, a startup that makes autonomous farming robots, has expanded its production capacity to meet the growing demand for robots and drones in the agricultural industry.
The company can now produce up to 800 robots per year in the US, matching its existing capacity in Brazil. These robots use artificial intelligence to analyze crops and weather to apply weed killer and pesticides only where needed, leading to a significant reduction in herbicide use.
The addition of robots not only helps farmers save money but also benefits the environment. In addition, Solinftec has formed partnerships with three American cooperatives. So get ready, because more autonomous robots will be rolling onto farms soon to take over the world, one weed at a time!
