James Cameron Joins Stability AIās Board of Directors
Renowned director James Cameron has signed on as the newest member of Stability AI’s board of directors, and he aims to explore how generative AI and CGI can revolutionize the industry.
Stability AI, the company behind Stable Diffusion, is currently involved in multiple lawsuits regarding its use of copyrighted material, but Cameron remains enthusiastic about the potential of AI.

Figma Relaunches AI-Powered App Generator
Figma has reintroduced its AI-powered design tool, now called “First Draft,” after pulling it earlier this year for accidentally generating designs too similar to Appleās iPhone weather app.
First Draft helps designers create website and app layouts by selecting design elements based on input prompts. Figma has added more flexible libraries for wireframing and high-fidelity designs, and clarified that the AI models, like OpenAIās GPT-4, arenāt trained on customer data.
The tool is currently in limited beta, with additional features like text generation also available.
