Telegram CEO Pavel Durov was arrested by French authorities outside Paris as part of a preliminary investigation into criminal activities on the messaging platform.
French officials allege that Telegram’s lack of moderation has allowed illegal activities, such as distributing CSAM and drug trafficking, to occur.
Telegram defended Durov, stating he has “nothing to hide” and criticized the arrest as unjustly blaming the platform and its owner for user abuses.
IKEA Launches Secondhand Marketplace
Ikea is testing a new online platform called Ikea Preowned in Madrid and Oslo, allowing customers to buy and sell used Ikea furniture.
Users can list their items with photos and prices, but buyers and sellers must arrange meetings for the exchange.
The test will run until December, after which Ikea will evaluate its effectiveness and decide on further expansion.
