First Look: Appleā€™s Distraction Control Feature

Yesterday, we told you about Apple’s new “Distraction Control” feature in Safari, and you can see it in action above.

Users will be able to temporarily remove intrusive ads and elements from websites with a “Thanos snap” animation to wipe out cookie prompts, auto-play videos, and other distractions.

Sadly, the feature is not a permanent ad blocker and ensures ads still load, it provides a cleaner reading experience by removing temporary disruptions.
 

X Files Antitrust Lawsuit Against Advertisers

Twitter is suing major advertisers like Unilever and Mars, accusing them of an “illegal boycott” that allegedly withheld billions in ad revenue.

The lawsuit claims these advertisers, through the Global Alliance for Responsible Media (GARM), colluded to boycott X for not meeting their safety standards.

CEO Linda Yaccarino and owner Elon Musk assert this boycott threatens the platform’s future, and they encourage other companies facing similar issues to take legal action.
