Doxing People In Real-Time With Meta Glasses

Two Harvard students created a demo showing how Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses can be used for real-time doxxing, revealing personal details like addresses and phone numbers using facial recognition and public databases.

Their project, called I-XRAY, highlights the privacy risks of combining AR glasses with easily accessible technology like PimEyes.

Though the students claim their goal is to raise awareness, and the demo what’s currently possible with the tech we have in civilian hands.
 

Microsoft Enhances Copilot With Voice & Vision

Microsoft has redesigned its AI assistant, Copilot, adding voice and vision features. Now, Copilot can respond to voice commands, interpret visual content, and assist with tasks like browsing websites and offering recommendations.

This major overhaul aims to create a more personalized and interactive experience, similar to Inflection AI’s Pi assistant.

Gmail Introduces Summary Cards

Google is rolling out enhanced “summary cards” in Gmail to surface key information. The feature automatically pulls relevant links and data from emails, placing them at the top of emails and even search results.

While this may be controversial due to inbox clutter concerns, Google believes users will find value in having important information more readily available.

The update initially focuses on purchases, with more categories to follow.
