Automattic Launches AI Writing Tool

Automattic, the owner of WordPress.com, has introduced “Write Brief with AI,” an AI tool designed to make WordPress blog posts more readable and concise.

The tool, available in beta as part of the Jetpack suite, helps users by suggesting simpler language, improving readability, and providing feedback on sentence complexity and confidence.

However, premier advertisers like Raptive & Mediavine have taken a stance against AI-enabled creators, so this new feature likely isn’t met with open arms.

Humane Faces High Return Rates for AI Pin

The Worst Product I’ve Ever Reviewed… For Now

Humane is facing significant challenges as returns for its $699 AI Pin outpace sales, accumulating over $1 million in returns against $9 million in total sales.

It launched in April, and instantly started accumulating overwhelmingly negative reviews, with critics citing functionality issues.

Despite raising over $200 million in funding, Humane has shipped around 10,000 units but now has fewer than 7,000 units in customer hands due to the high return rate.

Instagram is shifting to “views” as the primary metric for measuring content performance across all formats, including Reels, Stories, and photos.

They’re hoping to simplify content performance tracking for creators by providing a consistent metric regardless of format.

Instagram chief Adam Mosseri emphasized that while views will be the main metric, creators should also monitor “sends per reach” to understand engagement better.
