ChatGPT Is Getting Lazier Every Day 🦥

ChatGPT, the AI bot that has taken the world by storm, seems to be developing an attitude. Users are increasingly reporting instances where ChatGPT, instead of obligingly performing tasks, is either suggesting users complete the tasks themselves or outright refusing to do them.

This unexpected behavior has prompted OpenAI to launch an investigation.

Since its launch in November last year, ChatGPT has amassed an impressive user base of 180 million, primarily due to its ability to assist in various tasks, potentially increasing workplace efficiency.

However, recent reports indicate a shift in its response pattern, causing frustration among users who have come to rely on its previously unerring assistance.

The issue came to light when a startup founder asked ChatGPT to list the days leading up to May 5 and received a response stating the task was too exhaustive.

Business Insider conducted a similar test, and ChatGPT opted to provide a methodology for calculating the number of weeks between two dates rather than a direct answer.

These incidents have sparked a wave of complaints on platforms like Reddit, especially among those using the bot for coding.

Users are lamenting the decline in response quality and the increased effort required to elicit the desired information.

OpenAI, acknowledging these concerns on its Twitter account, stated that there have been no updates to the model since November 11th and that the change in behavior was not intentional.
