Rivian has announced the R2, a more affordable electric SUV set to launch in the first half of 2026 with a starting price of $45,000, aiming to make EVs more accessible.
Alongside, the R3 crossover and a sportier R3X variant were also introduced. Rivian doesnāt have any hybrid models to fall back on, so theyāre hoping for a Tesla-sized hit to keep them in the game.
Luckily, this launch will hit a market that is ready for retrofuturism designs like Teslaās Cybertruck [although that beefy battery boy is ugly af].
Appleās AI Plans May Change The Game
Apple recently showcased the M3 MacBook Air, and branded it as the “worldās best consumer laptop for AI.ā
The company has hinted that upcoming operating system updates, iOS 18 and macOS 15, may introduce AI-driven enhancements across its apps and services, potentially overhauling Siri with a large language model (LLM) akin to ChatGPT, dubbed “AppleGPT.”
Apple may add generative AI features within its Photos and iMovie apps, allowing for sophisticated content editing directly by users.

ChatGPT Is A ‘Powerhouse’ Consumer
ChatGPT’s electricity consumption utilizes over half a million kilowatt-hours daily – a staggering 17,000 times more than the 29 kilowatt-hours used by a typical household.
If Google were to incorporate generative AI into every search, the energy consumption could hit about 29 billion kilowatt-hours annually, surpassing the electricity usage of entire countries such as Kenya or Croatia.
The AI sector is estimated to consume between 85 to 134 terawatt-hours by 2027ā¦ enough electricity to power New York City for a couple years or an electric vehicle for ~300 billion miles.

Most of the biggest losers have essentially been wiped off Google, and it’s getting worse with this update. Declines of -90% or worse in many cases.

This month, Google started rolling out major updates to its Search platform to combat spammy, low-quality content – including algorithmic improvements to highlight the most helpful content while reducing unoriginal content in search results.
Additionally, Google is updating its spam policies to better tackle emerging tactics employed by spammers, such as exploiting expired domains.
While these changes are part of a broader strategy to refine Google’s core ranking systems, this āenhanced quality of search resultsā has led to the doom of many smaller, niche websites.
