OpenAI has appointed Zico Kolter, a professor and director of the Machine Learning Department at Carnegie Mellon University, to its board of directors.
Kolter has expertise in developing safety methods for large language models and will also join the Board’s Safety and Security Committee.
His appointment reflects OpenAI’s continued focus on ensuring the “safety and ethical use” of its AI technologies as it expands its operations.
